A note from our Spring Quarter Intern!Greetings!
My name is Miss Burcham. As you have probably heard from your child, I am the Professional Intern (student teacher) in Mr. Cullum’s 6th grade science classroom. I am from Logan, Ohio and graduated from Logan High School. The Professional Internship is the last piece of my program at Ohio University and I will be graduating in June of this year. When I graduate I will hold a degree in Middle Childhood Education with concentrations in Science and Mathematics. Currently, all of the science classes are finishing a unit on genetics. Once this unit is completed, I will be taking over full teaching responsibilities. When I begin, we will be studying energy, renewable, and non-renewable resources. I am very excited to be working with your child for the remainder of this school year. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me via Mr. Cullum’s email, acullum@alexanderschools.org or call the school at (740)698-8831. Sincerely, Miss Burcham D.A.R.E.
The DARE Graduation Picnic is coming up!
The picnic will be held on May 23 at Lake Snowden. Sandwiches will be provided by Subway in The Plains and each homeroom will be responsible for either chips, water, soda, or desert. At the picnic students will be allowed to play games like basketball, kickball, volleyball, football, hike the trails, and Officer Childs will be playing music! Fishing will be allowed, but ONLY IF parents bring the fishing gear to the lake. Students WILL NOT be permitted to bring those supplies on the bus. |
